Jeff Hollenbach is set to return for a second stint as Pennridge's head football coach, according to sources. His hiring is expected to be officially announced in a Tuesday afternoon press conference at the school.
From 1997 to 2004, Hollenbach, a math teacher at Pennridge, guided the squad to a 73-25 record (.745 winning percentage) and a share of five Suburban One League conference championships.
Hollenbach would replace Randy Cuthbert, who compiled a 55-43 record in eight seasons. Cuthbert left to take the same position at Emmaus, located southwest of Allentown and in District 11.
In Hollenbach's final season, the Rams went 10-3 and advanced to the PIAA District 1 Class AAAA semifinals before losing to North Penn. With a 6-1 mark, they shared the SOL National Conference title with North Penn and Neshaminy.
