Friends' Central senior combination guard Karonn Davis, who averaged 19 points per game last season, signed a letter of intent Tuesday to play at Niagara. He visited the school last weekend.

"I found the people at Niagara to be genuine and kind-hearted," the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder said. "Also, the coaches said I'll have the opportunity to start as a freshman."

Davis, who lives near 46th and Walnut in West Philly, also had a scholarship offer from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
