Football: A Trio of Malvern Prep seniors make commitments

Three Malvern Prep seniors will continue their football careers as preferred walk-ons.

Jordan Andrews, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound defensive tackle and end, has committed to playing for Delaware.

Ryan Ammerman, a 6-3, 205-pound tight end and safety, is headed to Penn State. He is projected to play linebacker.

Joe Barrett, a 6-2, 225-pound two-way lineman, is bound for Villanova. He is expected to play linebacker.

Last season, the trio helped the Friars to a 6-5 overall record and 3-2 mark in the Inter-Academic League.

Andrews, who doubled as an offensive tackle, was selected to play in the NUC All-American Bowl in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He also received interest from James Madison, Johns Hopkins, and Villanova.
