Boys' Hoops: Frio steps down at Devon Prep

Bill Frio has stepped down as head basketball coach at Devon Prep after seven seasons. He is the program's third all-time winningest coach.

"I'm leaving with mixed emptions," he said in a statement released by the school. "I'll miss the school, I'll miss the boys. I really enjoyed coaching and being at Devon. But I feel good knowing that I made a difference in the lives of the boys I coached."

In 2009-10, Frio guided the Tide to a 19-7 record, the PIAA District 1 Class AA championship game, and the second round of the state tournament.

He is 1974 graduate of the school.
