Football: Wood's Griffin to Holy Cross

Archbishop Wood's George Griffin, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive lineman, has commited to play at Holy Cross.

Griffin earned Inquirer first-team all-Southeastern Pennsylvania honors last season while helping the Vikings go 12-3 and advance to the PIAA Class AAA state championship game.

The senior also received interest from Georgetown, Lehigh, Monmouth, and Wagner.

He is projected to be an offensive guard for the Crusaders.
