Hoops: Lower Merion's Johnson commits to Syracuse

Lower Merion's B.J. Johnson has committed to play his college hoops at Syracuse, according to multiple sources.

The 6-foot-7, 175-pound senior swingman chose the Orange over Villanova, Temple, and Rutgers.

Johnson, 16, averaged 15.8 points per game last season while helping lead the Aces to a 29-4 record and the PIAA Class AAAA state championship game.

Johnson will make his announcement at 3:15 Wednesday during a press conference at Lower Merion's Kobe Bryant Gymnasium.
