Council Rock South's football game versus Pennsbury, postponed Friday due to an outbreak of skin infections, will be played 7 p.m. Monday in Fairless Hills.
"We are playing," C.R. South athletic director John Radick said Sunday evening. "We'll be there."
Radick said there were 18 varsity football players who were diagnosed as having skin infections. "We got doctor's notes back from all 18 kids who were red-flagged," he said. "One of the notes indicated no infection. All the rest of the kids have been OK'd to play Monday."
Radick said that one student-athlete, a player on the freshman football team, was diagnosed with MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). "By the time he was confirmed, he had already been out of school for a week," he said. "We don't think it's related to the rest of the cases."
