Football: Nesbitt cleared to play for Archbishop Wood

POSTED: Thursday, August 30, 2012, 8:34 PM

On Thursday afternoon, a PIAA regional panel approved Archbishop Wood's petition for LaQuille "Dice" Nesbitt, a senior transfer from Northeast, to play football for the school, according to sources.

As a result, the 5-foot-8, 162 pound Nesbitt, a speedy multipurpose threat, is eligible to play for Wood in Friday night's nonleague opener at Bensalem. He has been practicing with the squad, per PIAA rules, but did not participate in scrimmages.

The regional panel, made up of officials from District 12, approved the petition by a 6-0 vote, sources said.
