Bob Schaefer, who won 757 games and two PIAA Class AAAA state championships in 31 seasons as head coach of the Cheltenham girls' basketball coach, will be inducted into the Hazleton Area Sports Hall of Fame next month.

Schaefer, who retired at the end of last season, was born and raised in West Hazleton.

In his career at Cheltenham, he compiled a 757-163 record, claimed 24 Suburban One League championships, and won four District 1 titles. The state crowns came in 2000 and 2007.
