Girls Hoops: Notre Dame's Fitzpatrick commits to St. Joe's

Notre Dame Academy's Kathleen Fitzpatrick, a sharp-shooting senior guard, has orally committed to play basketball at St. Joseph's.

In 26 games last season, Fitzpatrick averaged 13.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. The second-team all-Inter-Academic League selection hit 70 three-pointers, upping her career mark to a school-record 173.

Her mother, Ellen Fitzpatrick (nee Shields), played at St. Joe's, totaling 933 points and 355 assists from 1986 to 1990, after starring at West Catholic.
