Steve Vasturia netted 15 of his 31 points in the second quarter to help lift St. Joseph's Prep to a 71-57 triumph over host Father Judge Monday night in a Catholic League matchup in Mayfair.

Vasturia, a junior guard and Notre Dame commit, shot 12 for 20 from the field (2 for 4 from beyond the arc) and 4 for 4 from the free-throw line. He grabbed 13 rebounds (five on offense), and handed out four assists.

Fellow junior guard Miles Overton chipped in 18 points, including a pair of treys, six boards and three assists. Seniors Kevin Oberlies and Gene Williams (five rebounds, five assists, and two steals) added 10 and nine points, respectively.

The Hawks outscored the Crusaders, 22-5, in the second frame. Overall, the visitors shot 8 for 19 from beyond the arc.

For Judge, junior guard Steve Griffin, slowed early by foul trouble, drilled five treys en route 29 points. Joe Robinson, a junior transfer from Franklin Learning Center, managed 10 points and 13 boards (four on offense).

The Crusaders shot 6 for 16 from beyond the arc.
