Skyler Mornhinweg completed 19 of 32 passes for 224 yards and three touchdowns as St. Joseph's Prep recovered from an early deficit and raced past Malvern Prep, 30-14, in a Thanksgiving Day matchup at Plymouth Whitemarsh.

Mornhinweg, who has orally committed to play at Penn State, also rushed 14 times for 59 yards. His 25-yard run capped the scoring with 6 minutes, 37 seconds remaining.

The Prep's Jim Hurley (eight receptions for 108 yards) caught TD passes of 33 and 5 yards.

The Hawks' rushing game was led by sophomore Vince Moffett (12 carries for 70 yards) and freshman John Reid (9 for 32). Fullback/tight end Eric Medes caught six passes for 67 yards.

For the Friars, senior halfback Shawn Wilson netted 82 yards on 11 attempts. On defense, Joe Carlini returned the first of his three interceptions for a 39-yard TD to put the Inter-League champs ahead, 14-0.

Mornhinweg and Carlini earned MVP honors for their respective teams.
