Zimbabwe pilgrims

Decked out in orange hats and outfits made of fabric emblazoned with images of Philadelphia’s Love statue and the World Meeting of Families emblem, Sinaisiwe Blandia Makumure and her husband Fastino Makamure watched the World Meeting of Families opening ceremony.

The couple is here as part of a group of 30 people from Zimbabwe. The Makamures are excited to see Pope Francis this weekend but are also looking forward to the workshops.

"We hope to strengthen our faith through united families," Sinaisiwe said as she left the opening ceremonies Tuesday.
