Police are investigating the slaying of a woman whose throat was slashed overnight in Yeadon.
A family friend found the 32-year-old woman unresponsive on his front steps shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday, Yeadon Police Chief Donald Molineux told reporters.
The victim, who had suffered a "severe laceration" to her throat, was pronounced dead at the scene on the 600 block of Baily Road.
By Thursday afternoon, investigators were seeking to question a man about thekilling, according to news reports. Police also identified the victim to television stations as Natasha Gibson.

The friend had been expecting the woman to arrive about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday but she never showed up, according to Molineux. The man called police after waking up in the middle of the night and seeing her outside.
Officers and a police K9 tracked blood from the scene through Yeadon, Upper Darby, and the Cobbs Creek section of West Philadelphia, the chief said.
Investigators found the knife believed to have been used in the slaying in a sewer near 61st Street and Baltimore Avenue, he said.
Authorities are continuing to search for the suspect.
