White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer harassed at an Apple Store

Even the White House Press Secretary gets an occasional day off, and Sean Spicer spent part of his Saturday making a trip to a local Apple Store in Washington, D.C..

Due to the chaotic and unpredictable nature of Trump’s presidency, Spicer’s press briefings have been garnering high ratings for Fox News, CNN and MSNBC, often beating soap operas like Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital, which air on traditional broadcast networks. Being mocked by Melissa McCarthy on Saturday Night Live has only enhanced his visibility.

So it’s no surprise that Spicer was recognized by Shree Chauhan, who happened to be in the same Apple store getting her cracked iPhone screen fixed.

Chauhan, a Hillary Clinton supporter who noted in an essay about the incident on Medium that she was devastated by the election of Donald Trump, spent a few minutes ambushing Spicer with loaded questions, airing the encounter live on Periscope along with the comment, “Asking @PressSec questions in Apple Store since he doesn't like the press.”

Chauhan didn’t hold back, asking Spicer several loaded questions like, “How does it feel to work for a fascist?”, “Have you committed treason too?” and “What can you tell me about Russia?”

Through it all, Spicer just smiled and responded, “It's such a great country, it allows you to be here. Thank you.”

Chauhan admitted in a post following the incident she wasn’t polite in how she approached Spicer, but said she felt that his words in response to her tirade somehow "threatened" her citizenship.

Spicer has not weighed in on the incident, and the White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
