The pope takes a nap, but security keeps going all ... day ... long. At least they have been friendly so far, but the long lines and security mazes have led to frustration for many.
Terence Moran, a reporter for ABC News traveling with Vatican Press Corps could hardly believe he had to go through yet another security check leaving Reading Terminal for Independence Mall. He said he's traveled in Air Force One many times and "never seen anything like it. ... ridiculous."
"We had bomb sniffing dogs checking our bags at JFK this morning, which everyone accepts; we're on the plane with the pope. But our days start 4 and 5 a.m and we are starting to feel it."
Around the city, security was on alert, even where they had little to do.
