Pa. man has epic fall while trying to impress a woman

Not exactly the screen version: A Pittsburgh man, who fell between two buildings while attempting to jump from one roof to another, has been christened #PittSpiderman on Twitter.

A Pittsburgh man is recovering after he became stuck between two buildings when he tried to jump from one roof to another trying to impress a woman and missed.

It took first responders about four hours to rescue the man, according to KDKA-TV, a CBS affiliate.

According to the station, the unidentified man, who is believed to be a University of Pittsburgh student, met a woman at a nearby establishment. The two went to a rooftop on Forbes Avenue, in the city's Oakland section, where he misjudged his jump and became stuck between the two buildings.

“He is not quite on the ground. But, he is wedged between these two buildings pretty well,” Pittsburgh Public Safety Officer Sonya Toler said.

Police say the man reported an ankle injury; he was bleeding, but waved to TV news cameras as he was wheeled on a gurney to an ambulance, according to an Associated Press story.

Rescuers broke through a Qdoba restaurant wall in an attempt to rescue the man.

The incident gave rise to the hashtag #PittSpiderman on Twitter.
