A man was killed on the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Saturday after exiting his car following an accident.
According to police, the 51-year-old man was driving a Honda SUV that became involve in a crash with a tractor-trailer around 2:50 a.m. Saturday morning.
Following the accident, both vehicles pulled over to the shoulder of the highway. The driver exited his car and was stuck and killed by another vehicle driving on the highway. The identity of the driver has yet to be released.
Pennsylvania State Police say there were no other serious injuries.
The accident shut down all westbound lanes of the highway between the Bensalem and Willow Grove exits for nearly 7 hours Saturday morning.
The incident remains under investigation.
