Sister Mary Scullion said her knotted grotto now has more than 100,000 strips of paper with prayers on it. It has become a main stop for visiting Pilgrims next to the Basilica. Scullion and the Mercy and Justice campaign are hoping that Pope Francis will bless the grotto when he visits the Basilica on Saturday for a private Mass.
