Williams sparkles in Imhotep debut

David Williams wasted no time making his impression as he dominated his Imhotep debut en route to leading the Panthers to an easy nonleague 68-13 win at Strath Haven on Friday night at Germantown.

Southeastern Pennsylvania's top running-back prospect, Williams finished with 133 yards on 13 carries. Two of his touchdown came in the first quarter. On the first play of the third quarter, he broke free for a 47-yard touchdown.

He played sparingly in the third and rested for the entire fourth.

Williams transferred this year from West Catholic, where he was coached by current Imhotep head coach Albie Crosby.

“Strath Haven is a good program; to say I expected this, I’d have to say no,” Crosby said. “But, I was looking forward to David coming out here and having an impressive game.”
