Westtown wins DISC wrestling title

Nico Starr's pin in the final match at 220 pounds clinched Westtown's 39-28 win over Wilmington Friends on Monday and the school's sixth straight Delaware Independent Schools Conference wrestling title.

Starr pinned Ben Gordon in 5 minutes, 48 seconds. Westtown's Luke DeSimone also picked up a key victory, winning by fall at 126 pounds over Josh Pinkus in 4:36.

Westtown finished 4-0 in the league and is 13-0 in dual meets. The Quakers may not be done adding to their trophy case just yet. They wrestle George School in the Friends League semifinals on Saturday.
