Upper Dublin's Cross headed to Hall of Fame

Upper Dublin girls' lacrosse head coach Dee Cross was named to the South Central chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame on Tuesday morning.

Before taking over at Upper Dublin, Cross was a longtime head coach at Abington. She was a standout player at Norristown in the late 1970s and went on to earn team MVP honors in three of her four years at Shippensburg.

In her junior year, she was named to the U.S. National team and spent nine years with the squad. She was the captain of the 1989 World Cup Gold medal squad. She is already a member of both the U.S. and Pa. Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

At Upper Dublin, Cross has coached her daughters Kelly and Amy, both of whom will attend Syracuse.
