Horace Spencer, a towering 6-foot-9 basketball star, plans to transfer from William Tennent to Nevada's Findlay Prep for his junior season.
Spencer, a power forward, is in Las Vegas this week with the South Jersey Gym Rats at the Fab 48 AAU event.
He received an offer on Thursday from Cincinnati. Along with the Bearcats, Spencer holds offers from Temple, La Salle, Oregon State, Seton Hall, West Virginia and Georgetown. He has high interest from Miami.
ESPN ranks Spencer as a four-star recruit and as the state's second-best player in the class of 2015.
Rick Barrett, his AAU coach, said Spencer has grown tremendously on the offensive end and has developed an outside jumper. He was the best player on the floor, Barrett said, as Spencer recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds and eight blocks Thursday against Pump N Run elite. Although Spencer and the Gym Rats are a 16-and-under squad, they are playing in the 17-and-under division.
"He feels no pressure," said Barrett. "He just plays. Duke and North Carolina could be there and doesn't care."
