Sophomore guard Sammy Foreman announced his decision to transfer to Vaux from Haverford School on Tuesday afternoon.

With the addition of Foreman, Vaux will boast one of the city's elite backcourts alongside senior Rysheed Jordan.

On Sept. 30, Foreman impressed at the All-City Classic as he dropped in 19 points and was named MVP of the sophomore game. He doesn't have any offers, but has received interest from Villanova.

"I play like a scoring point guard, but I'm adjusting to more like a Chris Paul type," he said after that game. "He takes a picture in his eyes before theplay and he knows where everyone is."

Here's his tweet:

I am now enrolled in Vaux... Sitting in computer class as we speak lol... I like this school too....

This is a perplxing decision. Who gives up what amounts to a $35K/year scholarship at one of the top schools in the country to attend one the worst public HS's in the region? It's clearly a basketball decision, but is the coaching really that much better?
