Rysheed Jordan misses game as Vaux falls

POSTED: Tuesday, January 29, 2013, 5:50 PM

Rysheed Jordan was suspended on Tuesday for a violation of team rules as host Vaux fell to Philadelphia Electrical, 58-51, in a Public League Division A boys' basketball game.

Hakeem Baxter led PET with 28 points and Dyshon Pack and Zakee Shakur added 11 points each.

In Jordan's absence, Daron Johnson and Karon Snead scored 11 points each. Along with the game, Jordan missed Vaux's senior day. Coach Jamie Ross said Jordan will be back for the Cougars' game on Thursday at Prep Charter.

"He's disappointed," said Ross. "But, he violated one of our team rules so we couldn't let him play."
