Rysheed Jordan, according to a source, was leaning toward committing to St. John's University a day before Thursday's scheduled announcement.

The Vaux senior guard will choose from among the Red Storm, Temple, and UCLA at a Thursday ceremony. The site and time were not set as of Wednesday evening. Calls to Jordan and his coaches were not immediately returned.

Jordan's decision will be a non-binding oral commitment, and he is not permitted to sign a letter of intent until April 17.

This past season, the 6-foot-3 Jordan led Vaux to the PIAA Class A boys' basketball title and was the state's Class A and the Public League Player of the Year
