Chris Clover, a junior guard/forward from Saint Joseph’s Prep, said he was offered a basketball scholarship from Temple late last month.

Temple head coach Fran Dunphy declined comment due to NCAA regulations.

“I’m not leaning anywhere, I’m just trying to get better and get more offers and play hard” said the 6-foot-4 Overbrook native.

Clover is among 100 prospects at this week’s Reebok Classic Breakout, which kicked off Wednesday and runs through Friday.

"This Reebok Classic Breakout is a very good outlet for exposure and to get my name out there so I’m not leaning anywhere yet.”

He averaged nine points and 4.6 rebounds last season as he played behind Steve Vasturia (now a freshman at Notre Dame) and Miles Overton (now a freshman at Wake Forest). In coach Speedy Morris’ motion offense, Clover saw much of his playing time on the low block.

The Hawks finished the season with a 24-6 record.
