Penn Charter has named Darci Borski, former girls’ soccer coach at Germantown Academy, as head girls’ soccer coach and associate athletic director.

Borski coached GA from 2005-11. In those six years, Borski’s teams went undefeated in winning four Inter-Ac League titles. In 2008, her team finished with a No. 13 national ranking from ESPN and Borski was named Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Hall of Fame High School Coach of the Year.

A stellar high school, college and pro soccer player, Borski has worked as a coach and elementary school teacher since 2004. She has taught most recently at Franklin Towne Charter Elementary School in Philadelphia.

Borski played high school soccer at Nazareth Academy, where she scored 100 goals. She was a four-time Catholic Academies MVP, two-time All-American, and Pennsylvania’s Gatorade state Player of the Year. Nazareth retired her No. 10 jersey.

At the University of Virginia, Borski earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors and was the leading scorer and Most Outstanding Offensive Player in 2002.

She played professionally for Norway’s Asker Football Kvinner and in 2002 for the Philadelphia Charge.
