The Plymouth Whitemarsh boys entered the most important week of its basketball regular season with a significant accomplishment Tuesday night.
The Colonials (16-0) took down visiting Suburban One American Conference rival Wissahickon, 77-49, for their seventh straight title.
The most impressive thing about it was the way the Colonials dismantled a good Trojan team (12-4).
It was the first time this season they placed all five starters in double figures, led by St. Joseph’s University recruit C.J. Aiken, a 6-foot-10 center, who had 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocked shots.
The Colonials face a pair of tough challenges ahead, playing Imhotep Charter at Villanova on Friday and then national No. 10-ranked St. Benedict’s Prep Sunday at Parkland High.
