Owen J. Roberts junior Ryan Brumfield places fourth in Penn Relays' high jump, will visit Rutgers spring football game in late afternoon Saturday

Ryan Brumfield, a workhorse junior running back at Owen J. Roberts who also stars in the high jump, placed fourth in the boys' high jump championship at the Penn Relays Saturday by clearing six feet, 7.75 inches.

Ryan Brumfield, a workhorse junior running back at Owen J. Roberts who also stars in the high jump, placed fourth in the boys' high jump championship at the Penn Relays Saturday by clearing six feet, 7.75 inches.

Brumfield said he was on his way to visiting the Rutgers football program at the Scarlet Knights' spring game later Saturday afternoon.

Brumfield has additional Division I football interest from schools such as Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Miami, Maryland and Iowa.

Coatesville senior Marcus Blakely, who is leaning toward attending Kutztown University, cleared six feet, 6.75 inches and finished sixth.
