Notre Dame's Megan McGurk moves to No. 2 on scoring list

Senior guard Megan McGurk scored a game-high 22 points on Wednesday to move into second place on Notre Dame's career scoring list as the host Irish dropped Strath Haven, 51-25, in a nonleague girls' basketball game.

Senior guard Megan McGurk scored a game-high 22 points on Wednesday to move into second place on Notre Dame's career scoring list as the host Irish dropped Strath Haven, 51-25, in a nonleague girls' basketball game.

Kathleen Fitzpatrick, a senior guard, added 10 assists and 15 points.

McGurk, committed to Bucknell, now has 1,351 career points and passed the late Aimee Willard's mark of 1,331 points on a layup in the first quarter.

Maria DiDonato, a class of 2001, remains atop the scoring list with 1,637 points.
