Neumann-Goretti's Tony Toplyn commits to Campbell

Less than a week before Tony Toplyn made his official visit to Campbell, Neumann-Goretti boys' basketball coach Carl Arrigale said he would not be surprised if the senior forward orally committed to the Camels during the trip.

Turns out the coach's intuitions were only off by a day. Toplyn pledged to Campbell on Tuesday morning, a day after returning from the North Carolina school.

The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 5.5 points last season and is expected to start for the Saints as they look to become the first team in 20 years to win six-straight Catholic League titles. Toplyn will join teammate Troy Harper at Campbell. The 6-1 senior guard orally committed last month and signed his letter of intent on Wednesday.
