Megan Quinn sets EA scoring mark

POSTED: Tuesday, February 5, 2013, 9:00 PM

With a first-quarter free throw, Megan Quinn became Episcopal Academy's all-time girls' basketball scoring leader on Tuesday afternoon as the Churchwomen rolled at Inter-Ac foe Agnes Irwin, 54-16.

The 6-foot-2 senior forward finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. She now has 1,535 points and entered Tuesday seven-points shy of Brittany Perfetti's 2008 mark of 1,527 points.

Episcopal coach Chuck Simmonds said Quinn does almost everything for his team, as she handles the ball, knocks down threes and plays the low post. Quinn is headed for Villanova.

"It's good for her, because she deserves it," said Simmonds. "And its good for the team, because they were a big part of it."
