Neumann-Goretti's Ja'Quan Newton and Mount Saint Joseph's Alex Louin highlighted the area nominees on Tuesday for April's McDonald's All-American Game.

Newton was joined on the boys' nominees by Great Valley's Mikal Bridges, Roman Catholic's Shep Garner, Math, Civics & Sciences' Lou Myers and Lansdale Catholic's Brian Rafferty and Andrew Riviello.

Joining Louin on the girls' nominees were Emmanuela Awobajo and Tanesha Sutton of Neumann-Goretti and Shipley's Sox Alexander.

The final rosters will be announced on Jan. 29 on ESPNU and the game will be played on April 2 at Chicago's United Center. Last season, Chester's Rondae Hollis-Jefferson was the only local player to make the final roster.
