La Salle's defense keeps shining

La Salle’s streak of stingy soccer contined Tuesday with a 2-0 win over Cardinal O’Hara in a Catholic League game.

It’s not that the Explorers aren’t allowing goals; they’re hardly allowing anything to reach their goalkeeper.

Anthony D’Angelo recorded his fifth straight shutout, and he’s needed to make just three saves during that stretch.

In six games this season, La Salle’s lone blemish is an own goal against Central in the opener. The Explorers have outscored their opponents by a cumulative score of 20-1.

Matt Lucas and Dave Price provided the offense Tuesday with a goal and an assist each.
