Rysheed Jordan sets visit with Syracuse

Vaux senior guard Rysheed Jordan postponed this weekend's official visit to UCLA due to a family illness, but has scheduled a trip to Syracuse.

Jordan will visit Syracuse on Oct. 12, he said by phone on Thursday night.

He will be one of the main draws at Sunday's All-City Classic at Ben Franklin High. The event will feature three games pitting the top sophomores, juniors and seniors.

"I'm looking forward to a win and having fun," said Jordan. "And also to show the city what I can do."

Jordan said he already has high interest from every local school along with offers Maryland, Georgetown, Kansas and Rutgers. The choice hasn't been difficult, as Jordan said he just has to "take his time and pick wisely."

He's considering staying close to home, as he said the local interest is mutual.

"It might be a good choice for me," said Jordan. "All my fans from Philly will come watch me play."
