Jones' 3 free throws seal dramatic Christian Academy win

The Christian Academy boys' basketball team won at home in dramatic fashion over Friends Select, 45-44, in a nonleague matchup Thursday.

Friends Select held a two-point lead and the Christian Academy had the ball. The Falcons then fouled the Crusaders' leading scorer, Trevin Jones, on a three-point attempt with one second left. The junior guard needed two foul shots for the tie and three for the win.

Jones knocked down all three.

Jones led the Crusaders with 17 points. Colin Reitman scored a game-high 20 for Friends Select.

TCA has won five straight after losing its first two games of the season.
