David Johnson set a Communications Tech single-game record with 33 points in a 69-47 nonleague victory over visiting Ben Franklin on Friday.

David Johnson set a Communications Tech single-game record with 33 points in a 69-47 nonleague victory over visiting Ben Franklin on Friday.

The senior broke the record of 32 established by Scootie Randall in 2008. Randall is currently a senior on Temple's men's basketball team. As a senior at Comm Tech, Randall led the Phoenix to a Public League title and finished as the program's all-time career scoring leader.

Communications Tech led 22-5 after the first quarter and cruised to the victory.
