Haverford School guard Shawn Alston was listed as the nation's 81st recruit in the Class of 2015 when ESPN updated its rankings on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-4 guard said it felt good, but he said he should be higher. And he will use this summer to prove his case.
Alston has been invited to the nation's premier high school basketball camps, including July's LeBron James Skills Academy in Las Vegas. He will also attend Nike's Elite 100 camp next week in St. Louis and the shoe company's point guard camp later this month in New Jersey. Alston will then attend Chris Paul's Elite Guard Camp in Winston Salem, N.C. and Steph Curry's camp in Oakland, Calif.
"It's very humbling. It shows that your hard work is paying off," said Alston.
Alston plans to visit Notre Dame later this summer. The Irish offered him a scholarship earlier this spring. He also holds offers from St. Joseph's, Temple, Witchita State, Virginia Commonwealth and Seton Hall among others.
