Shawn Alston’s busy summer keeps rolling this week as the Haverford School guard travels to North Jersey for the Nike Point Guard camp.
The 6-foot-4 guard is the only area player to be invited to the camp, which features 20 of the nation’s best high school point guard and 13 college point guards. The camp is held at Kean University in Union, N.J. and ends on Wednesday.
Alston holds scholarship offers from Temple, Cincinnati, Notre Dame, Wichita State, Seton Hall, and others. His dad, Levan Alston, played basketball at Temple. ESPN ranks him as the nation's No. 81 recruit in the Class of 2015.
Alston spent last week at the NBA Players Association Top 100 camp in Charlottesville, Va. He will attend the LeBron James Skills Academy in Las Vegas on July 9. He plays his AAU ball for Team Final.
