Haverford School's Brett Campbell was named Pennsylvania’s Gatorade boys' soccer Player of the Year for the second-straight season.

The senior forward helped the Fords to the second-straight Pa. Independent Schools title and scored 30 goals with nine assists. He was the Inter-Ac MVP and totaled 93 career goals and 27 assists. He is signed to play at Georgetown.

"He has an amazing knack for scoring and he is always dangerous," said Germantown Academy coach Chris Fehrle in a statement. "He is extremely fast and very difficult to defend."

In January, Unionville junior Courtney Smith was named the state's Gatorade girls' cross-country runner of the year. She captured the PIAA Class AAA title with a course-record of 18 minutes, 16 seconds in the 3.1-mile race.
