Eustace's Smeltzer adds a chapter to his remarkable story

It's hard to imagine any area baseball player having a better day this season than Devin Smeltzer did Monday.

The junior lefthander from Bishop Eustace struck out 15 in a no-hitter as the Crusaders beat visiting Seneca, 6-0, in an Olympic Conference National game. And oh yeah, he hit a three-run home run, too.

Nick Browne also homered and Justin Hagenman hit two doubles. Bishop Eustace, The Inquirer's sixth-ranked team in South Jersey, had lost four of its last five games.
