Dock's Jared Armstrong set to transfer

Christopher Dock sophomore guard Jared Armstrong has decided to transfer at the end of the school year.

One of the area's top guards, Armstrong said he is choosing between two schools. He averaged 16.1 points per game last season and is expected to receive some college interest during the summer AAU season.

He holds an offer from Cal Poly and said he has interest from UCLA, St. John's, Xavier, UNC, South Florida and Providence among others. Armstrong will be playing AAU this summer for Team F.O.E., founded by former Prep Charter stars and NBA lottery picks Marcus and Markieff Morris.

First-year Dock basketball coach Matt Dolan said in February that Armstrong was a leader and a "great point guard."
