Highly-touted quarterback Brandon McIlwain said he plans to attend Temple’s junior day on Saturday.

The Council Rock North sophomore is one of the area’s most sought after recruits. Michigan State offered him a scholarship on Tuesday, joining the likes of Miami, Virginia, Clemson, Auburn, Florida and Penn State. The Owls were first on board, offering McIlwain last spring.

He wants to visit every school that has offered him and plans to make his decision sometime after next season.

Here’s what the 6-1, 205-pounder had to say about Temple:

“Temple’s a great school. They’re really on the rise with Coach Rhule coming in there. I see a lot of progress coming. They had a good recruiting class this year, starting to put things together and filling out their coaching staff. I have a really good relationship with the coaches, love talking to them. They’re really down to Earth guys and I like it there at Temple.”
