Cicione breaks single-season O'Hara record

With eight goals in the last two games, junior Marissa Cicione has broken Cardinal O'Hara's single-season record for goals in field hockey.

Cicione's hat trick, in a 9-0 win Wednesday against Catholic League foe Lansdale Catholic, gave her 29 goals this season with at least six games still remaining.

Cicione's record-breaking season has been a big reason that the Lions are undefeated and in first place in the Catholic League.

The junior also had an assist Wednesday. Senior Carlie Spaeder added three goals and two assists to help lead O'Hara to the shutout victory. Liz Piszker recorded her seventh shutout this season.
