Gloucester's sudden exit from the Central Jersey Group 1 semifinal Friday is still hard to believe.
The No. 1 seeded Lions (18-1-1) had been undefeated in the regular season and had won a quarterfinal game against Haddon Heights when a goal by Marissa DePativo gave Holy Cross a 1-0 victory.
The goal was the only shot by Holy Cross in the second half.
I guess it was meant to be.
