Villa Maria needed 10 saves from goalie Anna Zarkoski to preserve a 3-1 Athletic Association of Catholic Academies win at Sacred Heart.

Marie Elena Bolles, Cassie Mullins and Caroline Troncelliti scored for the unbeaten Hurricanes (14-0 overall, 12-0 league). Stephanie Finley scored for the Lions, who trailed, 2-1, at the half.

Ann Burgoyne scored both of her goals in the first half, helping Mount St. Joseph to a five-goal lead in an 8-0 win at St. Basil. Caitlin Liberatore and Natalie Tacks also scored a pair of goals for the Magic (12-3-0).

Council Rock North’s Carly Everett got hit in the eye in pregame warm-ups, requiring stitches, but she went onto to score two goals ice as many goals as she had all year in a 3-1 Suburban One National Conference field hockey win over visiting William Tennent.


Everett’s two first-half goals helped the Indians (9-4-1 overall, 7-2-1 league) take a commanding 3-1 lead at halftime.
First-half goals by Cara Deola, Colleen Diviny and Sam Facciola gave host Council Rock South a 3-0 win over Bensalem.

Despite 37 saves from goalie Katy Schlechtweg, Shipley outlasted host Moorestown Friends, 3-0. Avery Safford scored twice and Jill Keeney once.

Madison Fertell scored four goals for host Westtown in a 7-0 win over Friends Select.

Izzy Perres scored twice for Friends’ Central in a 2-1 win at George School.

Jordan O’Reilly scored twice for host Upper Dublin in a 3-3 tie with Cape Henlopen (Del.), in a game tied to a charity fund-raiser, Susan G. Komen Play For the Cure.

So far, the Upper Dublin girls have raised $4,500.

Sisters Erin Gallagher, a senior, and Kelliann, a freshman, scored five minutes apart in the second half to give Academy Park a 2-1 win at Lower Merion.

Juanila Velasquez stopped five shots including a breakaway in overtime and helped Northeast tie host Girls High, 0-0, in a Public League game.
Nadira Holliman turned aside three shots for Girls High.

Yazmin Malter led a potent Washington scoring attack with a hat trick and the Eagles tripped visiting Rhodes, 9-0.
Barbara Danhart added a pair of goals while Kale Carrero, Carissa Domingo, Kelsey Palmer and Selena Powers contributed single goals. Liz Miller and Julianna Garcia each made a save in goal for Washington.

Phil-Mont Christian rallied for three second-half goals, two by Soraya Toppin, to beat visiting Germantown Friends, 5-3, in a nonleague game.
Toppin finished with three goals on the afternoon. Also contributing for the Falcons (8-2) was Madeline Romig, who had a goal and two assists.


Interboro’s Dana Froio had a hat trick in an 8-1 win over visiting Academy of the New Church.


Camy Anderson scored twice for host Friends Select in a 4-0 win over Girard College.

Avery Curley helped Episcopal Academy open up the Inter-Ac League portion of its schedule on a strong note by scoring three goals in a 6-0 win over visiting Germantown Academy.
Curley also added an assist for the Churchwomen (3-4 overall, 1-0 league).

Penn Charter got a pair of second-half goals to break a tie and win, 4-2, at Springside. Dani Bembry, Grace McInerney, Ali Rosen, and Allison Thompson scored for the Quakers.
Katie Gerzabek scored half of Notre Dame’s goals in an 8-1 win over visiting Agnes Irwin.

Lauren Heisse’s goal two minutes into overtime gave Archbishop Ryan a 2-1 Catholic League win at Archbishop Carroll. Kerri Ritter assisted on two goals for the Ragdolls (6-2-1 overall, 5-2 league), including one by Michelle Saklad 12 minutes into the second half. Julia Stipa scored for the Patriots.

Jenna Richards scored both goals as host Conwell-Egan topped St. Hubert, 2-0. Kelly Mott had seven saves for the Eagles.

Kerri McClay scored once and assisted twice for host Archbishop Wood in a 4-0 win over Lansdale Catholic.
