Great Valley needed some scoring help in the second half of its Ches-Mont League game with visiting Kennett and got it from Adam Boehr. Boehr connected for a second-half hat trick and led the Patriots past the Blue Demons in double overtime, 3-2.
Kennett grabbed a 2-0 lead on goals by Jake Tully and Alejandro Zavala in the first half, but Boehr came through in the second half, tying the game with 20 minutes left in regulation and won the game 2 minutes, 45 seconds into the first overtime.
Dan Shackleton stopped five shots to earn the win in goal and Greg Danchik turned aside 10 shots for Kennett.

Conwell-Egan’s Bill Castor found the range in spite of a fierce Lansdale Catholic defense and helped the Eagles come from behind to earn a dramatic Catholic League Blue Division soccer win at the United German Hungarian Club in Oakford Monday.
Castor scored from 19 yards out with a minute left to give Conwell-Egan a 2-1 victory. As a result, the Eagles (8-2-2 overall, 7-2-1 league) moved past the Crusaders (6-4-1, 6-3-1) into second place in the division.
Sean Rooney gave Lansdale Catholic a 1-0 lead in the first half, but John Richards tied the game when he converted a goal from 55 yards out. Mike Keenan stopped 22 shots to earn the win in goal for the Eagles while Crusaders’ goalie Chris Takemori turned aside 15 shots.

West Chester Henderson coach Mike Lorback beat West Chester East and his brother, Todd, 1-0, in a Ches-Mont League game to reach the milestone.
Adam Matteo scored the lone goal of the game 9 minutes, 7 seconds into the first half, and Kyle Morton stopped a pair of shots to preserve the win for Lorback, who also coached at Conestoga. Pasha Ransford turned aside 19 shots for W.C. East.
Jamison McMain and Conor Malarney accounted for the goals to give West Chester Rustin a 2-0 win over host Kennett.
Eric Anderko earned the shutout in goal for the Golden Knights with three saves while Blue Demons’ goalie Greg Danchik stopped five shots.

It was Maura Gifford’s birthday, but Lansdale Catholic’s soccer team was doing the receiving and not the giving.
Gifford’s goal in the game’s 74th minute clinched the 2-0 nonleague win at rival Gwynedd-Mercy.
Most of the game was a scoreless tie until the 67th minute when freshman Hannah Whitby scored.
Seven minutes later, Gifford, a senior, put the game away with the insurance goal.
Kelly McGlynn scored 20 minutes into the first half for the game-winner in Abington Friends’ 2-0 win at Bishop McDevitt.
The Kangaroos got a second-half insurance goal from Robyn Harding.

The Warriors shook it off and scored the next four goals to stun visiting Furness, 4-3, in a Public League game yesterday.
Nabieu Sesay scored twice while Yhisua Gomez and Jonathan McDowell each scored single goals to give Boys’ Latin a 4-2 lead. McDowell scored the game-winner with 20 minutes left in the game when he headed a corner from Oumar Diawara into the goal.
Sesay’s goal came on a left-footed free kick from 25 yards out to give the Warriors a 3-2 halftime lead. Jose Corona tallied twice and Nazar Khan added a goal for the Falcons. Boys’ Latin goalie Khalil Baxter turned aside six shots.

Jerome Horton broke a 1-1 tie with a second-half goal and handed Prep Charter a 2-1 win over host Martin Luther King.
