Corey Beltran converted a perfect cross from James Piccone just four minutes into the game as Williamstown beat Kingsway, 1-0, in Tri-County Royal action.

Williamstown, the defending co-champion, improved to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the division.

Kingsway is 3-1-1 and 1-1-1.

Moorestown has played only three games this season and has won all of them, but none more impressively than against Rancocas Valley yesterday.

The Quakers, ranked No. 9 by The Inquirer, blanked RV, 2-0, on goals by Jennifer Goldenberg and Grace Ridge and a defensive effort that held RV to 0 shots in the first half.

RV (2-2) is a team that is in contention for the Burlington County Liberty Division crown, but you wouldn't know it by the Red Devils' performance.

Kathleen Larkin needed a long first set to beat Alexa Katz in Germantown Academy’s 3-2 nonleague win over visiting Abington Friends. Larkin won, 7-6 (7-2), and won the second set, 6-1.

Heather Jackson scored three goals, and Haley O’Donnell registered her first varsity goal as host Academy Park coasted past Chichester, 5-0, in a Del-Val League game.
Joe Forte also scored for the Vanguards (3-3-1, 2-0-1).
O’Donnell was an early substitute for Academy Park. Jackson now has four goals in seven games.

Interboro peppered Penn Wood goalie Owumni Jolaoso with 27 shots, but got only one by her and that turned out to be the game-winner for Shannon Deihl.
Erika Tambon assisted on the goal with 13:51 minutes left in the first half.
Amanda Hoffman needed to make only three saves in goal the shutout.

It was Maura Gifford’s birthday, but Lansdale Catholic’s soccer team was doing the receiving and not the giving.
Gifford’s goal in the game’s 74th minute clinched the 2-0 nonleague win at rival Gwynedd-Mercy.
Most of the game was a scoreless tie until the 67th minute when freshman Hannah Whitby scored.
Seven minutes later, Gifford, a senior, put the game away with the insurance goal.


Kelly McGlynn scored 20 minutes into the first half for the game-winner in Abington Friends’ 2-0 win at Bishop McDevitt.
The Kangaroos got a second-half insurance goal from Robyn Harding.

Hamed Badini scored all of Parkway Center City’s goals in a 4-2 Public League soccer win at Edison yesterday.
Badini scored three of his goals in the first half. Jose Collazo and Erickson Santiago scored for the Owls.
 

In other league games:

Karon Waters scored five minutes into the first overtime to give Germantown a 2-1 win at FitzSimons.

Megan Comunale recorded the fourth shutout of the season for fourth-ranked Bishop Eustace, but the host Crusaders (5-0-1) were unable to put any of their 21 shots past Peddie School netminder Carolyn Horner, ending the nonleague match in a scoreless draw.


Burlington County.

Andie Fennimore’s second half goal, off a pass from Emily Bausher, and shutout goaltending by Katie Francis (nine saves) lifted New Egypt (5-0, 3-0) over host Florence, 1-0, and gave the Warriors the Freedom Division lead.

Eastern girls’ soccer coach Jamie McGroarty celebrated his 250th career victory yesterday, when the fifth-ranked Vikings jumped on top early and held off host Cinnaminson, 3-2, in a nonleague match.
Kelsey Long opened the scoring less than 2 minutes into the match and Eastern (4-1) went on to build a three-goal lead by intermission. Sydney Certullo and Madison Tiernan also scored for the Vikings, while Vicky Schuarski and Ali Stuffo tallied for the Pirates (2-2).

Cape-Atlantic.

 Ocean City senior captain Julie Burnell made 11 saves in posting her third consecutive shutout, and the visiting Red Raiders received balanced scoring to knock off ninth-ranked Egg Harbor Township, 3-0.
Fran Babore, Jillian Baltz and Leia Shutz each had a goal for Ocean City, which improved to 2-0-1. The 3-1 Eagles had won their first three matches by a combined score of 8-0.

Jaclyn Beasley scored three goals as Eastern rolled to a 10-0 victory over Kingsway tonight in a field hockey game under the lights on the Vikings' turf.

Kelsey Mitchell and Emma Johannson added two goals apiece as Eastern improved to 6-0. The Vikings are No. 1 in South Jersey and have outscored opponents  by 48-2.

Eastern held a 23-0 advantage in corners. Kingsway goalie Becca May made 22 saves, while Eastern goalie Alana Barry was not forced to make a save.
