McBride Coaching One Final Season At Winslow Township

Winslow Townsihp football coach Mike McBride has decided that this will be his last season guiding the Eagles. McBride has told his players that he will depart after the season in order to attend law school.

“I’m hoping that this can be a good final season,” McBride said.

McBride has an overall record of 59-43. He went 37-24 at Woodrow Wilson and has been 22-19 at Winslow Township.

His 2001 Woodrow Wilson team went 12-0 and was The Inquirer’s No. 1 South Jersey team.

Winslow Township is coming off a 4-6 season, but the Eagles qualified for the South Jersey Group 3 playoffs, losing to eventual champion Hammonton in the first round.

Let by quarterback and Pitt recruit Bill Belton, Winslow Township is expected to be improved this season.
